P. David Palmiere is a senior trial lawyer. He graduated with high honors from Ann Arbor High School, and went on to the University of Michigan Honors College, where he majored in both economics and philosophy, receiving his B.A. magna cum laude in economics. He then attended the University of Michigan Law School, graduating in 1975. While in college and law school, he also spent seven years as a professional chef, and three years as a private investigator.
He began his practice of law in 1976 doing commercial litigation and medical malpractice defense with a firm in Ann Arbor. Since that time, he has worked for several southeast Michigan law firms, primarily in the personal injury field, spending about equal portions of his career representing plaintiffs and defendants.
He has tried over 100 cases to final judgment as lead counsel, including a number of million-dollar cases on both sides of the courtroom. His clients have also asked him to try cases in other states, including Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New York, and Ohio. He has served as a guest lecturer in Tort Law at Wayne State University School of Law, and as a seminar speaker on "Pre-Suit Investigation Techniques", and for the past 35 years, he has been an adjunct Professor of Law at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
He is the author of several published articles on litigation subjects, and is also a published poet. Mr. Palmiere lives in Bloomfield Hills with his beloved wife, Kathleen Meyer, who is also a Michigan lawyer.
